We design and implement tailored, customised and relevant interventions for organisations and teams, with a specific focus on leadership development and greater self-awareness.

Our development programmes, whether once-off events or long-term programmes, draw on our experience with diverse groups in complex organisations across the world to, firstly, understand with empathy what the real needs of our clients are, before secondly, supporting them with customised programmes, workshops, seminars or consultation, which may take place in person, online or in a hybrid format, depending on the relevant travel and Covid-19 government regulations.

With more than 15 years’ combined experience, we draw on our unique blend of expertise to offer our clients the support they need. These areas of expertise include:

  1. Leadership development for executives and managers

    • Managing change, conflict and innovation through the skill of having the conversations that matter.

    • Building trust inside and towards the organisation, and addressing breakdowns in trust

    • Becoming more effective and aligned as a team by better making and managing commitments in the organisation and team.

    • Exploring the moods of teams and organisations as powerful drivers of change and behaviour.

    • Supporting the organisation to develop a Thinking Environment.

    • Developing public speaking and communication skills in order to connect better, and grow influence and presence.

    • Learning how to develop an organisation towards becoming a robust and relevant ‘Learning Organisation’, and exploring the 5 disciplines of Learning Organisations.

  2. Purpose-driven Branding for Individuals and Organisations

    • Developing a strong and clear brand, which includes a compelling purpose, an inspiring vision, and a strong brand promise towards the future.

    • Developing a clear programme of action and craft campaigns flowing from the brand.

    • Analysing the individual’s or organisation’s ability to live its brand, and assessing brand gaps.

  3. Connection and Communication in a post-Covid-19 World

    • Supporting teams to make sense of the impact of an ever-changing and volatile post-Covid-19 world on them and the work they do.

    • Sharing useful frameworks that allow teams to understand and analyse how their remote connection is different from in-person connection and how to bridge the divide.

    • Exploring methods, tools, trends and ways of being to make online communication (whether meetings, 1-on-1’s, strategic sessions, conferences or team-buildings) engaging, relevant and empathetic.

  4. Innovation

    • Exploring the concept of innovation, and learning about what it takes to entrench a culture of innovation in organisations, teams and individuals.

    • Creating an environment in which organisations can play and explore with new ways of being and doing, and as such encourage those in the organisation to embrace making mistakes and vulnerability as natural parts of the process of innovation.

    • Learning from interesting cases from around the world about different types of innovation, including, but not limited to digital innovation.

    • Crafting clear strategic and innovative plans for the future, and utilising creative methodologies, such as Design Thinking, to conceptualise new solutions to existing challenges.

  5. Political Party Development

    • Guiding and supporting liberal political parties towards becoming robust vote-winning organisations through organisational development methods and tools.

    • Supporting political organisations to develop a clear and coherent brand.

    • Developing strategies and building capacity for recruiting, organising and training party volunteers at grassroots level.

    • Connecting organisations to best practice examples and cases in the field of political organisation, fundraising and campaign technology.

  6.  Facilitation & Moderation Skills

    • Developing moderators, trainers or facilitators by supporting their self-development and awareness of their own way of being as people developers.

    • Understanding the design cycle of events, programmes and workshops that meet the needs of stakeholders, clients and participants.

    • Developing immersive and unusual learning experiences or journeys, rather than once-off training events.

    • Using cutting-edge methods, tools and techniques to create an engaging and easeful learning environment.

  7. Event Facilitation, Master of Ceremonies and Public Speaking

    • We are also available to facilitate and MC events, or speak about any of our core competencies at gatherings. Previous events include The World Economic Forum, Tedx Ruhr and the 2020 Amman Innovation in Politics Forum.

As accredited facilitators of the Thinking Environment and Design Thinking, we are committed to creating spaces in which participants can think for themselves with rigour, engagement and imagination, utilising different methodologies and taking care of participants with empathy and genuine interest.

We have facilitated extensively in South Africa, and around the world in countries as divergent as Georgia, Germany, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, Brazil, Turkey, the Philippines and Zanzibar.  We enjoy infusing innovative and modern methodologies into our workshops, seminars and conferences that we’ve picked up from all over the world.

Having also worked extensively with political parties, think tanks, NGOs, public representatives and corporate clients, we have mastered the art of using just the right blend of methodologies, content and thoughtful touches to make every experience easeful, inspiring, and yet sufficiently challenging for all participants, regardless of the type of organisation they come from.

We design our sessions to be engaging, highly participatory and co-creative in nature, while supporting learning and reflection for sustained personal and organisational impact.

Both Marike and Clinton are human alchemists who gently guide and transform the lives of those around them.
